We, the members of this is definitely not a forum, should make a cover album of songs by TMBG. Thoughts?

haha, I like that you're suddenly making lots of polls. :] How would you go about doing this, anyway? I'd listen to it, of course (provided I was able to access a computer with high speed internet) but I doubt I could even think about making one. My sister got all the musical talent in the family. I can (attempt to) mimic singing and stay on key most of the time (I think so, anyway..I have this theory that probably isn't even my theory that if you can't sing on key you can't really tell and have to rely on some poor soul to be brutally honest with you) and I think I have decent rhythm (though sometimes I get scared I'm losing it or that I never had much in the first place because of a similar theory regarding rhythm) but the nine years of piano lessons only taught me fundamentals and that I can learn to play a song if I practice it twenty times as much as the average musically-gifted person (i.e. my sister) and have no pressure (i.e. recitals, AUGH). So I wouldn't be contributing anything, but it could be interesting to hear. :] By the way, my two-year-old niece (who calls me Jamma Jamma) was sitting in my lap today, watching the screen saver of randomly-selected pictures from my computer and I was asking her who or what was on the screen and she would tell me if she knew. If she didn't, she'd either look at me (at which point I'd tell her who or what was on the screen) or say "keekee" (which is apparently her word for things when she doesn't know what they're called and she's even made up a wonderfully bizarre little song about it). Anyway, a screen shot of John Linnell on the balcony in the Birdhouse video came on the screen, and I said, "that's John Linnell". She pointed to him and correctively stated, "it's JAMMA JAMMA"! haha. I laughed quite heartily. If only I had half his talent. If only I had one-sixteenth his talent. *sigh*..

Ah... But I sort of meant how would you make them into a conglomeration? Is there a way for different users to upload to one "album" on Band Camp? (I'm not very familiar with that site -- only just discovered it a few months ago because of that girl on YouTube I once mentioned with the Experimental Film cover who also does original songs and has a couple albums on that site, as well as the link you posted for Helicobbler.) Anyway, just curious. That Something Pinata could submit her version of Canajoharie, perhaps. :]

basically, I'd attempt to lead the project. people would send their files to me, and when it was done, I'd upload it in one big shebang on bandcamp for free.

Ah, okay! Well, good luck. Be sure to post a link on the forum if you get enough participation. :]
