Wow, I was listening to No! today again and it really, REALLY sounds like Flansburgh on "speck of dust"! Especially the way he pronounces his s's.

I got the Amazon version of ABCs in the mail the other day for my niece and those extra videos alone are worth the wonderfully inexpensive prices of the DVD/CD combo! Thanks for the tip! One weird (but cool) thing I noticed, though, was that at least two of the videos were different than on the version I bought my other nieces and nephew a couple years ago! The LMNO video has different animations at the end, and the ICU video is COMPLETELY different! It's real people instead of animation, and it's quite adorable! I liked the animated one, too, of course. Anyway, I just thought it was strange that there were differences other than the bonus videos. Definitely happy I bought it again.

I actually like the live action ICU video way better. The animated one is kind of creepy looking.

Yeah, after my initial double-take when the video played, I loved it. I'll admit was never completely crazy about the animated one and would often skip over it. I liked the cleverness of the song, I just didn't really care for the video. Of course, it's been a while since I've seen it since the DVD has been in Arizona since it was a gift, but I think I can I say I prefer the live action one. It's quite adorable.

Also, I'd say you're definitely right about Linnell singing the "speck of dust" part on the video. It does sound a lot like Flansburgh, but there's obviously no lip-synch as you pointed out and it's believable that it's Linnell if you really listen. But I'm still not convinced that Flansburgh doesn't sing that part on the No! album. It sounds SO MUCH like him! Maybe Linnell can just do an excellent Flansburgh voice, though. I forgot about their talent when it comes to that sort of thing, and I need to look up more videos of Why Does The Sun Shine? being performed in different voices. :]
