Hello! I'm Stacy and this is my introductory post. I'm fairly new to the TMBG community. I didn't really discover my love for this band until March of 2008, when a friend took me to one of their shows and I felt happier than I had felt in a long time! I was actually going through a bit of a rough time, or "emotional briar patch," if you will, and becoming hardcore obsessed with TMBG really worked wonders for me and had a huge positive impact. I've been going to as many shows as possible to make up for all those years I missed out on having them in my life, and of course I listen to their music very frequently! So far, I've been to about 30 shows and I'm hoping to maybe reach 50 this year *if* they announce a bunch more dates. Fingers crossed!
Since the band was such a positive influence on me personally and made a big difference, (and they continue to do so), I also have a tattoo. It's my very first one, and I went all out to commemorate my fandom:

That's actually a super close-up, so it's not as huge as the photo makes it seem. It's at the base of my neck, at the top of my back.
I've met some of the most wonderful, amazing people at these shows! (Specifically, bluecanary and fouroftwo, for example.) TMBG fans are some of the kindest, smartest, and most genuine people on the planet. The band seems to have a way of making magical things happen! Which sounds a bit cheesy, I know. But that's how I feel!
You may have noticed by this point that there are no cupcakes. I apologize. I wasn't sure how to upload something like that.
